ENC has been involved with DOD RFID initiatives like the Bangor RFID Evaluation project (BRE).

Navy AIT (Automatic Identification Technology) Program Office implemented an improved logistics system using RFID for its Sound-managed warehouses called ‘The Bangor RFID Evaluation (BRE) project’. The solution combines an various AIT like RFID devices within the SAP landscape.

Also as part of the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) Program, the Department of the Navy ‘The Naval Supply Systems Command’ (NAVSUP) has SAP as their Enterprise Solution and SAP’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage their warehouse operations. This single ERP and RFID system converge logistics business processes for the Navy.
